Anhui Province added 115,000 new jobs in urban areas in the first two months
According to the Anhui Provincial Government website, the reporter learned from the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security on March 10 that since the beginning of this year, our province has adhered to employment priority, focused on key groups, and taken multiple measures to promote high-quality full employment. The overall employment situation in the province is stable. In the first two months, the province added 115,000 new jobs in urban areas, an increase of 1.62% year-on-year, and completed 16.91% of the annual target task.
Our province is fully committed to promoting employment “at the doorstep”, studying and formulating implementation opinions on deepening the implementation of the employment priority strategy to promote high-quality full employment, and multiple departments jointly carried out a series of activities such as the “Spring Breeze Action”, held the 2025 “Spring Breeze Action” on-site promotion activities, and simultaneously held online recruitment fairs and other online activities. So far, a total of 500 chartered buses and special trains (chartered carriages) have been provided, transporting 21,800 workers, and realizing “leaving home, getting on the train, and entering the factory gate”.
In terms of promoting youth employment, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security actively planned the employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates and other youth in 2025, and deployed the third season of the “College Tour to Recruit Talents and Introduce Intelligence”. Improve the market-oriented and socialized employment promotion mechanism, and stabilize the scale of recruitment (employment) of government agencies, institutions and state-owned enterprises. The one-time job search subsidy is issued through informatization, and a total of 119 million yuan in subsidies have been issued to 79,100 2025 college graduates in difficulty.
In order to vigorously support the employment of key groups, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security has studied and formulated the “Implementation Plan for Promoting Employment of Key Groups”, carried out special activities for “Employment Assistance Month”, and actively promoted the resettlement of migrant workers, fishermen who retired from fishing in the Yangtze River due to fishing bans, and employment assistance for people with employment difficulties. So far, 24,700 registered unemployed people have been reemployed, and 4,600 people with employment difficulties have been employed.
In terms of entrepreneurship driving employment, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security has vigorously promoted the construction of Anhui Entrepreneurship, optimized support policies and services, enriched entrepreneurship platforms and scenarios, held the 2025 Entrepreneurship Festival and the “Entrepreneurship in Anhui” program series release activities, planned special activities for Anhui Entrepreneurship in 2025, and focused on building an ecological system that gathers talents, develops industries, and increases momentum through entrepreneurship.
In the next step, our province will make greater efforts to stabilize and expand employment, take the construction of Anhui Entrepreneurship as the driving force, take the “home door” employment action as the starting point, implement the employment support plan for key areas, key industries, urban and rural grassroots and small and medium-sized enterprises, and promote the full coverage of the “three-kilometer” employment circle. Implement the “One Million College Students to Revitalize Anhui” action, organize and carry out the “University Tour to Recruit Talents and Attract Intelligence”, strengthen the supply of policy-based and market-oriented positions, and do a good job in employment for key groups.
