RMB100 mln flood-relief supplies from China to reach Pakistan
China has shipped flood emergency aid materials worth RMB 100 million to Pakistan in its efforts to provide aid for floods victims as the recent catastrophic floods in Pakistan affected millions of people.
So far, a number of relief materials, including 13,000 tents, 1,000 cases of compressed biscuits, 10,000 blankets and 10 tons of tomatoes, have reached Pakistan by air. A total of 200 tons of onions have been dispatched via Karakoram Highway to the flood-hit people.
In addition, three batches of relief supplies have been shipped by sea and will arrive at Karachi Port on October 3, 8 and 11 respectively.
