Lou Qinjian inspects Jiangsu’s education work

Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Committee, conducted a research on education work on July 15.

He said that education is key to the development strategy of the country and the Party and closely related to thousands of families and the nation’s future. Efforts should be made to adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and further implement the spirit of speeches and instructions by Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee. Jiangsu will continue to emancipate the mind, increase efforts in reform, serve the people wholeheartedly, and improve quality and efficiency in education work to reach a new level.

Lou held a video talk with teachers grading papers of the college entrance examination, also known as gaokao, and expressed thanks to their efforts on behalf of the CPC and the government.

Lou also said the college entrance examination is of importance to the selection and cultivation of talents for the Party and the state as well as social justice and individual student’s future. Lou called for teachers to show a high sense of responsibility and complete the grading carefully and prudently with a sound success.
