Pakistani journalist’s special bond with Jiangsu
As the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation opened in Beijing on April 25, Manzar Naqvi, executive editor and senior journalist of the Financial Daily in Pakistan, arrived in Suzhou, a city of modernity and traditional charms, for his sixth visit to China.
Naqvi, now in his sixties, said he heard about China a lot during his childhood. He made his first visit to China on May 21, 2014, which marked the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. In a column called Diary from China on the Financial Daily, he shared what he heard and saw in China. In the following years, he has published two books – Wonderful China andAmazing China, and his personal travel logs also showed the rapid development of China in just a few decades.
